Step-by-Step Troubleshooting for F34/F35 Errors
1. Inspect and Clear Door Obstructions
Start by thoroughly checking the door seal, latch, and surrounding area. Remove any clothing, small objects, or dirt that might be jamming the lock or latch.
2. Power Cycle the Washer
Unplug the washer from the power outlet and wait for about 5 minutes. Plug it back in and restart the machine. This simple reset can clear temporary glitches causing the error.
3. Examine the Door Lock Mechanism
If the problem persists, visually inspect the door lock switch for physical damage. Look for cracks, broken parts, or wear that could prevent it from engaging or releasing properly.
4. Check and Secure Wiring Connections
Inspect the wiring harness connected to the door lock switch and control board. Make sure all connectors are tight, and wiring shows no signs of damage or corrosion. Repair or replace any faulty wiring.
5. Replace the Door Lock Switch if Needed
If your inspections show a faulty door lock switch, replacement is often the best solution. Refer to your Miele washer manual for part numbers or consult a professional technician for assistance.
